Gas in liquid aliminium is mainly from the raw material of aluminium alloys, furnace gas and fuel.When the melt curdled,there will be gas bubbles in the cast which will reduce the capacity of machining.
Experts studied many ways to solve the problem of bubbles,including refining and degassing,filtration by ceramic foam filter,by mobile or fixed graphite rotor eddy degassing.But how to observe the hydrogen inclusion effectively,how to determine whether the liquid aluminium is qualified or not,is still the problem of casting manufactures.And overseas hydrogen testings are not easily find in our domestic market.
Our factory has developed online hydrogen testing machines to help casting manufactures settle the issue.This kind of machine can be fixed in the processing line,you can test the hydrogen content at any moment.
Directions for use
Sampling, put the liquid aluminium into the cup,make the liquor into curd at the minus pressure of 0.093-0.097Mpa,the curdling time should be 3 minutes.Take out the curdling sample,after tested by eye and machine,judge if the content meets the requirement;Eye testing ,to check if the surface is cupped when curdled(refer to a standard picture).
Tested by machine-use a photoelectric analytic balance,the calculating formula is:
P=W(atmosphere)/[W(atmosphere)-W(water)]
P:sampling density
W(atmosphere): weight of sample in the air
W(water):weight of sample in water you can get the ration according to the formula,you can judge if the hydrogen content meets the reqirement.
